CSA

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It’s a great way to stock your household with fresh, organic, locally-grown produce, while also saving money by purchasing direct from your farmer. Like joining a gym, members subscribe for a year, and get a weekly share of the harvest during the peak 20 weeks of our growing season, early June through late October. Our carefully planned, high-quality CSA varies weekly and always includes plenty of the tastiest and most popular just-picked produce as well as a smattering of specialty varietals to keep any foodie satisfied. We now offer a fall bulk share as well!

All share sizes include the same extensive weekly selection of crops with apportioned volumes to accommodate any size household. Shares are available for pick-up on the farm in Hadley, and at sites throughout the greater Boston area. All CSA members will also receive a weekly newsletter with seasonal recipes, news from the farm, and storage and prep tips.

Additionally, Next Barn Over partners with the amazing youth gardening project Gardening the Community (GTC) to bring farm shares to their neighborhood in Springfield, MA. If you live in the Springfield area, you can learn more and sign up on the GTC website.

Western MA, pick-up in Hadley

Overview

The share barn is where it all happens. Each week, you’ll visit the barn and fill a canvas NBO bag with whatever you want from the wide selection of freshly-harvested seasonal vegetables. We offer several size shares with corresponding volumes posted on easy-to-read chalkboards throughout the share barn and there will always be an NBO farmer on-hand to answer any questions you may have. While at the barn, you can meander the paths of the adjacent upick field for more tasty morsels and flowers to decorate your table. The share barn is easy to navigate, kid friendly, and a great place to trade recipes with other members. Check out the home page for a detailed list and calendar of our produce availability.

Fall shares

Western MA bulk shares

Overview

The fall bulk storage share will provide you with lots of farm fresh veggies to take you into the first months of winter with very little fuss. Indeed, most of the veggies offered in the share will store well in your cabinet, counter, and cold storage (32-40°) like mudroom/garage/refrigerator, allowing you to have nourishing, fresh, and local, organic vegetables even when the snow is piled high to your door.

Each share costs $225, and customers can buy multiple shares.
